Privacy Policy

1. Information Collection (Local-First)
JSONFORGE is a Local-First developer utility. All formatting, validation, transformation and inspection happens directly inside your browser tab. We do not upload, store, persist, or transmit any of the data you paste — including JSON, SQL, GraphQL, JWT tokens, regex patterns or any other input — to any server we operate.
2. Log Data & Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as PostHog or Google Analytics) to measure aggregate usage of the JSONFORGE site. These analytics record anonymous events like page views, referrer, screen size and approximate region — never the contents of the editor.
3. Cookies & Web Beacons
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to JSONFORGE or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
4. California (CCPA) Rights
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to access it, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. JSONFORGE does not sell personal information.
5. European (GDPR) Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, port and erase your personal data, as well as the right to object to and restrict certain processing. As we do not collect editor contents, most of these rights apply only to aggregate analytics data described in section 2.
6. Children's Privacy
JSONFORGE is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
